{"id":8,"date":"2017-06-02T14:39:46","date_gmt":"2017-06-02T12:39:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iao-project.eu\/wp\/?page_id=8"},"modified":"2024-02-26T12:58:44","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T11:58:44","slug":"start","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/localhost\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Overview<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sesarju.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SESAR<\/a> Integrated Airport Operations (IAO) project is a Very Large Scale Demonstration (VLD). Its aim is to show the benefits of Air Traffic Management (ATM) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sesarju.eu\/activities-solutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">solutions developed in SESAR 1<\/a> in an operational environment and to ease their industrial deployment. The project takes place in the framework of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sesarju.eu\/activities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SESAR 2020 Multi-annual Work Programme<\/a> set up to prepare airports for the challenges of the future.<\/p>\n<p>IAO consists of four demonstrations: one on-board exercise and three at the airports of Nice, Budapest, and Hamburg. In those demonstrations IAO will cover ATM solutions in the area of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-Departure Sequencing,<\/li>\n<li>Routing and planning functions for controllers,<\/li>\n<li>Airport safety nets for controllers, and<\/li>\n<li>On-board traffic alerts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sesarju.eu\/activities-solutions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SESAR solutions<\/a> will assist air traffic controllers in their duty to safely guide aircraft at the airport while also assisting flight crews in navigating safely on the ground.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview The SESAR Integrated Airport Operations (IAO) project is a Very Large Scale Demonstration (VLD).
