DLR and SINTEF conducted a third trial session at ARIF Hamburg. Developments of the last months have been installed and tested with live data. Additional data exchange between the systems is now available to support better route planning results. These developments paved the ground for the conformance monitoring part of the Safety Net solution, where live position data is used to compare real positions and planned route data to detect deviations.
In addition, new support functions now allow systems quickly to readapt to the actual airport situation. These functions are more related to the setup of the demonstration exercise trials in shadow mode than to the integration of the SESAR solutions itself.
As detailed planning of the trials is on-going, controller suggestions again helped to cover open points in the exercise setup and structuring.
